History of the Inn

The duplex was built in 1964 by Frank Balzer who lived on one side while Frank’s sister, Olga Balzer, lived on the other side. Willie and Eunice Wall bought the property in 1987 and, in 1999, they started The 9th Street Inn.

In 2005, Clara Johnson bought the units with downsizing as her goal, as well as, moving back “home” after her 16 year absence from the community. The location of the home was the main reason, even though, it was not her original intent to become a business person; however, she found the opportunity to become an Inn Keeper intriguing.

The Inn has had many visitors over the years and these visitors have come from all over the world.
